Feeding Directions:

Our recommended feeding portions are based on averages. Your puppy may need more (or less) food depending on age, activity and environment. We recommend feeding the daily portion in two equal meals, one half in the morning and the other half at night. You are feeding the right amount if you can feel the ribs without feeling too much fat.

PUPPY: From weaning to 6 months of age feed 3 times a day. At each meal, allow the puppies approximately 20 minutes to eat all they can, then remove the remaining portion. From 6 to 12 months of age feed twice a day. At maturity, select any one of our NUTRIENCE ADULT DOG FOODS.

PREGNANT OR NURSING DOG: Feed "mother" NUTRIENCE PUPPY MEDIUM BREED throughout the pregnancy and particularly during the last 4 weeks of gestation and lactation. We recommend the free-choice method of feeding ensuring that sufficient food is available at all times or for controlled portions, feed daily portion in two equal meals, one half in the morning and the other half at night. Once her puppies have been weaned, select any one of our NUTRIENCE ADULT DOG FOODS.

Slowly change the proportions over the next 5 to 7 days by gradually increasing the amount of new food and decreasing the amount of the old food.
Fresh water should be made available at all times.
